Al Shohub Private School is a privately-owned school based in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi.  The lower school is mixed (boys and girls) and then from Year 7 onwards, it is girls only...

Salary at Al Shohub Private School is very good; much better than other Abu Dhabi schools and places like Dubai and Sharjah...

I can only speak for the single person’s accommodation provided by Al Shohub Private School which is what I was given – awful...

When interviewed I was told Al Shohub Private School was a British International School and the principal at the time explicitly said that they have students ‘from all over the world.’  Actually, this was incorrect...

The students I found were mostly lovely at Primary level; here you had your problem ones but no major issues.  However, Secondary school at Al Shohub Private School was the main problem...

Overall, Al Shohub Private School seems to be a dumping ground for poorly behaved students who can’t get into or survive academically in other international or good schools...

Workloads at Al Shohub Private School vary; however, I found that I was told I would be teaching one thing – only to find on the first day of term I would be teaching a course which was not even my subject area...
