International School is an excellent place to work and
JIS takes care of its' teachers quite well. The package
as a whole is highly competitive and savings opportunities
abound. Parents and administrators tend to be supportive
and the moral of the school is high. The facilities are
world-class and each campus
is gorgeous.Some possible negatives are the following:
The city of Jakarta is smoggy, congested, and very spread-out.
There always seems to be traffic and it can wear on you.
First year

are required to live in a housing complex built by the
school in a section of Jakarta called Bintaro. It is
about 15 miles from the school and the commute takes
a minimum
