Comments: Most of my students tried, some very hard. A few were obviously going to inherit daddy's business and fortune at ICARDA International School, and were merely gaining English and diplomatic skills....and a few other kids were brilliant....

Busses took staff to ICARDA International School in the morning and home again at 3:20 or 4:20. Staff at ICARDA International School could rent reliable Volvo or Taurus station wagons for less than $100 per month. Taxis were unbelievably cheap and had meters.

There were several restaurants with good food and amazing service and a tiny, tiny bill....
