School / Country: International School of Bogor, Indonesia

THIS DIRECTOR REPORT WAS REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
TEACHER WHO POSTED IT. THE DETAILS FOLLOW:

June 15, 2009: The following letter was received at ISR

Dear ISR

I am writing as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the International School of Bogor.

It has been brought to my attention that there is a posting to your web-site under the 'Directors Report Card' section, regarding the current principal of the International School of Bogor, Christine Rawlins, that is of a highly defamatory and inaccurate nature. It also appears to be submitted by someone with an grudge, and not a report of an interview as the form appears designed for.

I would be grateful if you could:

1) Remove the post in question as soon as possible, and confirm to be when it has been removed.

2) Forward me your policy on privacy, malicious emails and data storage, as I do not seem able to access this information from your web-site.

I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Yours sincerely

Dr Nick Brickle
Chairman of the Board international School of Bogor .

June 15, 2009: ISR Responded with the following letter to Dr. Brickle

Dear Dr. Brickle,

Thank you for writing. Let me begin by telling you that ISR is a public bulletin board. We function strictly as a third party venue to provide a space where members can exchange information. As such, everyone is entitled to relate their experiences and naturally not everyone has the same experiences. ISR is not in a position to remove information from the site. We are not editors or publishers, and as such we strictly provide a venue.

By the other token, you did not ask us to remove the review that presents an impressive view of Ms. Rawlins professional accomplishments. May I recommend you see the following, which outlines a positive way to benefit from reviews you consider unfavorable?
.

.
You may want to compose a letter stating your version of the facts which we can link directly to the section of a review you find objectionable. You may also want to post your own review and identify yourself. This way readers can see two points of view, side-by-side. Membership is not required to post reviews to the ISR web site and you will find a link on the home page through which you may post to the site.

However, I do not see that you are an ISR member. Our records show that you reserved a membership to the site on Monday the 15th of June, but stopped at the payment process. It concerns me that you are logging into the members' area.
.
Sincerely,
.
Ben @ ISR
